2. Collection and Processing of Personal Data

We need personal data so that we can provide the services on this website for you. We collect the following personal data:


  • For user administration and login: first name, last name, email address, login name, password (each of the user)
  • For sending the print job: first name, surname, street, zip code, city, email address, attachments

A transfer of the information is limited to departments within the company or possibly affiliated subsidiaries / sister companies within the Paragon Group within the framework of the contractually agreed conditions.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Processing

In all cases of data processing, we observe the principle of data avoidance and data economy. This means that we process as little personal data as possible.
In principle, any processing of personal data is prohibited by law and is only permitted if the data processing falls under one of the following justifications:


  • Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR ("Consent"): If the person concerned has given voluntarily, in an informed manner and unequivocally by means of a declaration or some other unequivocal affirmative action, to understand that he is processing the personal data concerning him for one or more specific purposes. Consent can be withdrawn at any time;
  • Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR: If processing is necessary to fulfill a contract to which the data subject is a party or to carry out pre-contractual measures that are carried out at the request of the data subject;
  • rt. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR: If the processing is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation to which the person responsible is subject (e.g. a statutory retention requirement);
  • Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. d GDPR: If the processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person;
  • Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. e GDPR: If the processing is necessary for the performance of a task that is in the public interest or takes place in the exercise of official authority that has been transferred to the person responsible or
  • Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR ("Legitimate Interests"): If the processing is necessary to safeguard the legitimate (in particular legal or economic) interests of the person responsible or a third party, provided that the conflicting interests or rights of the person concerned do not outweigh them (in particular if they are a minor).
  • We process the personal data specified above in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR, the other relevant data protection regulations and only to the extent necessary. As far as the processing of personal data is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR, the purposes mentioned also represent our legitimate interests.

For the processing operations carried out by us, we specify the purpose and the applicable legal basis below. The processing of the personal data mentioned in section 2 sentence 2 serves to configure and comission print jobs by email (legal basis is Art. 28 GDPR).

4. Duration of Data Storage

Paragon processes your data as long as this is necessary to fulfill the purposes mentioned here. Unless an express storage period is specified in this document, your personal data will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose or legal basis for storage no longer applies. However, storage can take place beyond the specified time in the event of a (impending) legal dispute with you or other legal proceedings or if the storage is due to legal regulations to which we as the person responsible are subject (e.g. § 257 HGB [German Commercial Code], § 147 AO [German tax code]), is provided (standard limitation 3 years §195 BGB [German Civil Code], retention periods from HGB, AO up to 10 years). If the storage period prescribed by the statutory provisions expires, the personal data will be blocked or deleted, unless further storage by us is necessary and there is a legal basis for this.

5. Handling of Your Data

When collecting, processing and using your data, we always strive to implement the requirements of the legal regulations on data protection as best as possible. Therefore, every processing is critically checked by our data protection officer before it is used for the first time. All people working for us are obliged to maintain data secrecy and are regularly trained in handling personal data.

6. Your Privacy Rights

You can assert your rights as a data subject with regard to your processed personal data at any time using the contact details given in point 1 above.
As a person concerned, you have the right to


  • Information about the personal data we have stored about you;
  • If your personal data is incorrect or no longer up-to-date, you have the right to request that it be corrected.
  • You also have the right to request the deletion (right to be forgotten) or restriction of the processing of your data in accordance with Art. 17 or Art. 18 GDPR;
  • You also have the right to data disclosure you have provided in a common and machine-readable format (right to data portability).
  • Right to withdraw consent under data protection law. If you have given your consent to the processing of personal data for certain purposes, you can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. The revocation must be sent to the company at the contact address specified in point 1.
  • Right to object
    Related to individual cases
    In accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, you also have the right, for reasons that arise from your particular situation, to file an objection at any time to the processing of your data, which is based on Art. f GDPR.
    Direct mail
    You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time. The same applies to the automated procedures when using individual cookies, unless they are absolutely necessary for the provision of the website.

7. Transfer of Data

In principle, we do not pass your personal data on to third parties, unless:


  • You have granted explicit consent according to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a GDPR, the disclosure according to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR, exercise or defense of legal claims is required, and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in not disclosing your data,
  • Government agencies / authorities in the event that there is a legal obligation of disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. c GDPR, as well
  • this is legally permissible and according to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b GDPR is required for the processing of contractual relationships with you.

As with every larger company, we also use external domestic and foreign service providers to process our business transactions (e.g. for IT, logistics, telecommunications, sales and marketing). These only act according to our instructions and were contractually obliged to comply with data protection regulations according to Art. 28 GDPR.
If we pass on personal data from you to our sister companies or are passed on to us by our sister companies, this is done on the basis of existing order processing relationships.

10. Do You Have an Obligation to Provide Data?

As part of the business relationship with Paragon, you must provide the data that is necessary for the establishment, implementation and termination of a business relationship and the fulfillment of the associated contractual obligations or that Paragon is obliged to collect. Without this data, Paragon will usually not be able to conclude the contract with you, to execute an order or to carry out an existing contract, so that it may have to terminate the contract.
